12 Hours of Road America

The 12 Hours of Road America is the "Queen" event of Endurafest.  Ride, Run or Duathlon as an individual or team as long as you can or want to.  And when you're not racing, enjoy the non stop party atmosphere in Victory Lane

Athletes race on the historic 4 miles race track.  Each athlete will get a space in Pit Lane for their bike as well as a camp site. 

Athletes will ride and run with the goal to do as many "complete" duathlons which consist of 3 cycling laps and 1 run lap.  Athletes can do each in any order they wish.  Laps will be counted as long as athletes cross the start and finish mats of the bike and run routes.

Solo athletes and their crew are working to complete as many laps on the 4 mile race track as possible over the course of 12 Hours.  This will be epic!  How far can you go!?

• Teams of 3 or more athletes can race together!  There is no limit on the size of a team. There is no limit to the amount of athletes who can be on course at once. Every person on the team will have their own timing chip and are still eligible for individual awards

• Teams will also be automatically entered into the relay race as well.  Each team will receive a dedicated relay timing chip that they can pass along to any athlete on their team they choose. Teams can still race in groups but the furthest distance the team chip goes will count toward the relay competition. 

• Teams will have the option to reserve their team tent location in Pit Lane during registration.  Teams can choose between 15ft spaces with power access for $10 or 10ft spaces for $5.  This is an optional add-on.

• Want a team discount?  Bring your squad of 3 or more.  Once the third member joins the team, the first two members will receive a 20% refund while the third and all subsequent team members will register at the 20% off discounted amount.

Each athlete is assigned a timing chip and will be eligible for awards in their respective division. The following awards are handed out for solo and team division. 

• Most laps completed (individual men's & women's) - Yellow Jersey   

• Most laps completed (team relay)

• King and Queen of the Mountain - Polka dot jersey

• Speed Challenge - Green Jersey

• Fat Bike Category (greater than 3.5 inch tires): Most laps completed (individual men's & women's) 

• Recumbent Category: Most laps completed (individual men's & women's) 

• Tandem Category: Most laps completed (individual men's & women's) 

• Handcycle Category: Most laps completed (individual men's & women's) 

All athletes are required to have a working forward facing and taillight on their bike and forward facing body light at all times while racing. The track is partially illuminated with light towers, but we still do require lights on your bike as some sections are more lit up than others. A charging station and additional lights will be available for purchase in the paddock area. 

All riders will complete the first lap together as a kick off the event. This inclusion lap is led out by myTEAM TRIUMPH Captains and athletes with disabilities. Think of this as our "pace lap" for the start of the race!

Road, triathlon, mountain, hand cycle, tandems, e-bikes, velomobiles, trikes, cruiser and fat bikes are all OK.  If you have questions about acceptable equipment, EMAIL US

• 12 Hours of Road America pit pass (wristband)

• One free pancake breakfast ticket

• Timing chip

• Finisher Medals: All riders will receive a heavyweight 12 Hours of Road America finishers medal upon completion of the event. These finisher medals are available to be picked up inside race headquarters anytime after 5:00am. You must show your riders number to claim your finishers medal.

• Angels are the athletes who guide their Captain by pushing or pulling them in racing "chairs"

• Captains are the leaders of the team.  Athletes with diverse abilities will race in the race chairs.  Captains, your cost to register will be completely free
